ISRAEL AT WAR – Part One

I had planned to write more about artificial intelligence and the end of humanity as we know it, but Israel is at war, and that takes precedence.

So, what’s going on? Is this just more of the same Middle East unrest? Or is this war in Israel the beginning of the end—not of Israel, but of the age in which we live? I believe the latter.

Why? It doesn’t just have to do with Israel but with global alignments. How did our focus switch from Russia/Ukraine to Israel? What caused Hamas to be able to attack Israel—one of the most militarily armed and protected countries in the world? And why do we see citizens of America supporting Hamas—a demonic terrorist group with only one thing in mind—destroy Israel?

As a slap in the face to all Americans, on September 11, 2023, Biden agreed to release SIX BILLION dollars to the Islamic nation of Iran in exchange for FIVE prisoners. Yes, they paid a ransom to terrorists. Shocking, I know. I never thought I’d see the day. But less than a month later, Hamas, the Iran-backed terrorists controlling Gaza—attacked Israel using Chinese technology to disable their alarm system.[1] (Think Maui.)

Iran, i.e., Islam—hates Israel—most Muslims do.

But what is so appalling about Hamas attacking Israel is that Israel has nothing to do with governing Gaza. After Gaza elected Hamas in 2006, Israel gave control to the so-called Palestinians—a made-up name to snub Israel—derived from the word Philistines,[2] the ancient enemy of Israel, who captured the Ark of God and produced Goliath.[3]

Right now, Israel does nothing for Gaza except provide FREE electricity and water. Not wanting to harm the civilian population, Israel has asked them to flee Gaza, but Hamas—the controlling regime—has forbidden their departure. So evil.

Why do Hamas, Hezbollah in the north, and all Islamic nations hate Israel?

I think it’s sibling rivalries—Jacob versus Esau—but even further back—Isaac versus Ishmael.

Islam claims Ishmael. However, Ishmael’s line mixed with Esau’s when Esau took Basemath, the daughter of Ishmael, as wife,[4] and they populated the surrounding nations. Let me ask, do you know what the LORD said about the character of Ishmael in Genesis 16 and what He said about Esau—not once but twice? He said, “Esau, I have hated.”[5]

And of Ishmael, God said, “He shall be a wild man; his hand shall be against every man, and every man’s hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.”[6] These “brethren” ARE the descendants of Isaac through his son, Jacob, aka ISRAEL. And…these descriptions accurately fit Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Islamic doctrine! Yet Satan is spurring on these demon-driven Hamas terrorists.

At the sickening discovery of forty Israeli babies beheaded, my heart ached, and I thought—Rachel is weeping. Rachel, Jacob’s beloved wife, prophetically wept for the murdered babies after the birth of Jesus.[7] However, this was the second time Israel's babies were threatened in Scripture—the first being as Moses was born.[8]

Another thought pierced my mind: Does the enemy target Jewish babies whenever something huge is about to happen concerning Israel? The initial threat to babies brought Israel’s deliverance from Egypt and God’s Law. The second brought Israel’s rejection of Jesus, their Messiah, and Jerusalem’s 70 AD destruction. I asked the LORD, “Is this third slaughter possibly signaling the end?”

But before He could answer, I realized the number of years between the massacres and the major events. Moses was forty when he thought he would deliver Israel.[9] Then, about forty years passed between the birth of Jesus and His Gospel reaching the Gentiles via Saul/Paul’s conversion.[10]

Forty years,” I whined. “I don’t want to wait forty years for the rapture.” Instantly, the Holy Spirit reminded me, “…unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved, but for the elect’s sake, those days will be shortened.”[11]

The elect is Israel in Matthew 24 because this passage speaks of the seven-year Tribulation. We are seeing the nations aligning—weapons of mass destruction—and all eyes on Israel. When the Tribulation begins in Revelation 6:1—guess what? The church is already raptured.[12]

Church, are you ready?                                                            (to be continued)
