ETERNITY
Here we are at the beginning of a new year, some blanketed with snow and ice as they are every winter. In my lifetime, I’ve seen milder winters and some that are fierce, but all in all, things have stayed the same. The earth God created has been going through cycles since the worldwide flood of Noah’s day. And even though we hear experts warn of global warming, nothing really has changed, except the fear and lies the climate-change propagandists spew.
You
might remember when these fear-mongers blasted out news of a tear in the ozone
layer and another ice age. When that didn’t work, they changed their story to
global warming. Many Creation scientists strongly disagree. So, don’t buy into this
ploy of the “elites.” They want us common folks, whom they deem “useless eaters,”
to live in fear because that way, we’re easier to control.
However, true believers in Jesus Christ know this
is not our home. Heaven is! And this is why our LORD placed eternity in our hearts.[1] He gave
us a longing for heaven and what comes after time ends. God has not
given us a spirit of FEAR but of power, love, and a sound mind.[2]
Fear is a distressing emotion
aroused by impending danger…real or imagined.[3] But Jesus told us not
to worry since God knows our need. Instead, “…seek first the kingdom of
God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”[4]
The globalists expel fear, because their underlying
spirit, Satan, is trying to make believers doubt God.
But created our universe by speaking it into being.
If God Most High is powerful enough to envision all we see and then create it,
is He not also strong enough to keep it?
This world had a
beginning, and it will have an end. So, don’t doubt.
Consider Noah and his family. After one year and
ten days, they finally emerged from the ark. Immediately, Noah built an altar
to thank God. As the smoke and aroma from the sacrifice wafted up, God said to
Himself, “I will never again curse the ground for
man’s sake, although the imagination of his heart is evil from his youth; nor
will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.”
Still, In His very next breath, He said, “While the earth remains…” we will have day and night, and seasons.[5]
Did you realize God prophesied this as He created
two luminaries on day four? God said, “…Let there be lights in the firmament
of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and
seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights
in the…heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so.[6]
Many Bible scholars believe there were no seasons
before the flood because the waters above our sky (firmament), and the waters
below, meaning seas, etc., kept the earth warm and moist like a terrarium. I
tend to agree, although some very learned people disagree.
Still, when God told Noah seasons would now come
into play, He said they would last only as long as the earth remained. And this
brings us full-circle, and why God placed eternity in our hearts.
After the events of Revelation, chapters six
through twenty, about which Jesus said, “For then there will be great tribulation, such
as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no nor ever
shall be,”[7] eternity begins.
John said, “…I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the
first earth had passed away…Then…I…saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming
down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”[8]
New
Jerusalem is the city Abraham longed for, “…whose
builder and maker is God.”[9]
Yes,
time is winding down, and as we come closer to the end, we will see hints and
signs of the coming cataclysm for people who have rejected God in this age,
including globalists. But they, too, have eternity
in their hearts, yet since heaven is NOT their home, they feel and express impending
doom. This is why they work feverishly to stop God’s judgment and to fix a
planet they can’t fix. I’m not promoting irresponsibility; I’m saying:
God
declared Earth’s end.
But
those who have received Jesus as Lord and Savior need not fear. Our Redeemer IS coming way before catastrophe
to give us the eternity
He promised.
Let’s pray hard for the Lost AND for our Country!
