Do Our Part - Pt 2

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”[1]
When this God-given document was signed 237
years ago, it was unmatched. America was unlike any nation on earth. All
others had monarchies. America had WE, THE PEOPLE, as the governing body. “The Constitution united
its citizens as members of a whole, vesting the power of the
union in the people.[2]
In just a few days, We, the People, will
have the opportunity to VOTE in
probably the most consequential election of our nation’s history. And the
question is, will God allow America to exist the way He designed it? Or will He
continue to allow it to be dismantled from within as it has been for at least
the past almost four years?
We, the People of America, have
known freedom all our lives because God chose us to be
born in this nation and at this time in history.[3] We have been given so
much. Do we take it for granted and value it too lightly? Maybe. But as I
prayed and wrote this morning, God’s Holy Spirit brought to mind what He said
through Luke, “…For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be
required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.”[4]
Immediately, I turned to Luke 12:35-48, and God
caused me to see it in a different light. The faithful servant was watching for
his Master’s return from a wedding, but the evil servant, who thought his
Master was delaying, began to beat his fellow servants and carouse.
However, it was in verses 39 and 40, the fifth
and sixth verses of the parable, where the LORD showed me that the house represented more than I thought. He equated
it with His appearing being at an hour we do not expect. I guess I
only saw the house as my spirit, soul, and body since God’s
Holy Spirit dwells within. But the Almighty helped me to see it also represents
the house He gave us, America.
Are we close to the return of Yeshua Jesus? I
don’t know, but it feels very close. Still, in this parable, the faithful
servants are watching and doing their duty. They’re
maintaining and keeping the Master’s house in good order while they await His
return. Are we, the servants of the Living God, doing the same? Or have we
slacked off and allowed the evil servants to take over?
God Most High established a free America
and a way for His servants to keep her free – our Constitution. Some of
us know the LORD personally, and we can’t wait for His return. Others like the
idea of God, and they “play church,” as Priscilla Shirer said in her Going
Beyond Conference. But these will benefit from the true servants doing their
duty and reversing the destruction the evil servants have
caused.
So, PRAY and STAND STRONG, for
much is required to keep America, the house God
gave, in good order. Don’t allow the evil servants to take over or the enemy of
our soul to devour us any longer. DO YOUR PART. Let righteousness
get your VOTE, and TRUST God to
take care of the rest. He may say yes to a reprieve from evil, and He may say
no. But our responsibility is to:
DO OUR PART!
And while you’re voting, remember, the Almighty
owns the whole earth and the cattle on a thousand hills. He is the strength of
our life and the One who feeds us. He has redeemed us and called us by name. He
WILL bring us through these waters that seek to overflow, and when we walk
through the fires of life, we shall not be burned. He is the LORD our God,
the HOLY One of Israel, our SAVIOR.[5]
